Basic training for service on ships subject to the IGF Code
Essential safety training for alternative fuel operations
This STCW-certified course is designed for seafarers responsible for safety duties on ships using alternative fuels under the IGF Code. You will learn about the properties of low-flashpoint fuels, emergency procedures and prevention of hazards. The training covers both theoretical knowledge and practical safety measures. Upon completion, you receive a certificate that meets STCW Convention V/3 requirements.

General information
The Basic Training for service on ships subject to the IGF Code (IGF-B) course is for seafarers responsible for designated safety duties relating to the care, use or emergency response to fuel on board ships subject to the IGF Code. The regulations are detailed in STCW Convention V/3, paragraph 4 and STCW Code A-V/3-1 and the course is in accordance with Model Course 7.13. The course is also suitable for office staff wishing to enhance their knowledge in this area.
