Development of training expertise

SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje) is a Colombian government institution dedicated to the development of vocational education and training for the Colombian workforce.

STC Next has delivered a range of training programmes aimed at strengthening the competencies, skills, and knowledge of SENA instructors. The objective is to enhance the quality of education and training in Colombia and support the sustainable delivery of vocational programmes by Colombian teachers and trainers.

Instructor training programmes were delivered in accordance with IMO Model Courses 6.09, 6.10, and 3.12. These programmes focused on teaching methodologies, lesson planning, delivering training in various learning environments, simulator-based instruction, and the assessment and examination of participants. Through these initiatives, SENA instructors have been equipped with the skills required to deliver high-quality education and training programmes in line with international standards.
